Our Commitment

AL TAX SERVICE is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of this website and, in doing so, to adhere to relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We have run automated checks and manual keyboard, zoom and contrast checks on our pages, but we have not had an independent audit and we do not claim full conformance.

Measures We Take

• Page landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer), a “Skip to main content” link, and a main heading on each page
• Text descriptions for informative images; decorative icons are hidden from screen readers
• Menus, forms, buttons, and appointment time slots that can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline
• Text and controls checked against the WCAG AA color-contrast ratios
• A responsive layout that adapts to screen size and zoom level, and animations that are turned off if your device asks for reduced motion
• English and Arabic versions with the correct page language and right-to-left direction

Known Limitations

Some parts of this website are not yet fully accessible. Known gaps: some pages have heading levels that skip a level (for example in cards and the footer); page titles and image descriptions stay in English when a page is shown in Arabic; and the client portal (the login area) is a separate application that this statement does not cover. Websites we link to, such as the IRS and the Comptroller of Maryland, are outside our control. If you meet a barrier, please tell us using the contact information below — we want to hear from you.
